From the outside, it looks like a gastropub, but inside it becomes Indigo, the most stylish new restaurant you’ll have come across in a very long time.

Located in Gerrards Cross, this is an Indian Restaurant like no other in the area. Encompassing all aspects of cuisines from the Asian continent, the eaterie combines Pan Asian with an emphasis on Indian cuisine with a twist for a unique culinary experience.

‘There are a lot of Bengali restaurants in the area, so we stand out because we lean more towards North India,’ explains co-owner Amman Rudki. ‘But the chefs thrive on experimenting with dishes from all regions.’

The result is a truly stunning selection of mouthwatering treats including Raunak-e-seekh (Lamb mince wrapped with jumbles of bell peppers and onion, chargrilled in clay oven) and Prawn indigo xec xac (Tiger prawn from Indian ocean ,marinated with red chilly, yoghurt, turmeric and sesame seeds) for starters; and scrumptious mains such as Nalli ka khallia (royal Hyderabad lamb shank cooked with brown onion, fresh ginger and garlic), and scottish grill salmon (coriander, mint and  pepper grill salmon with ratatoulli and lemon rice).

‘We’re unique in offering a menu with a grill section,’ says Amman. ‘All our ingredients are locally sourced to ensure maximise freshness. And we offer a wide range of exciting mains for vegetarians so they’re not left with side dishes!’

Boasting an extensive array of wine and champagne from the stylish bar, Indigo is contemporary haven offering the ultimate in fine dining. The VIP area, lined with plasma screens can be screened off to assure privacy for intimate events while the main restaurant area has a capacity for 100 guests.

While most top class restaurants make their mark by being as close to the centre of London as possible, Amman believes being located in an area like Gerrards Cross actually work to their favour.

‘Everyone expects the best Indian restaurants to be in places such as Southall, Ealing, Harrow and east London, but it’s hard to find one that stands out. Once you’ve established yourself as a place you simply have to eat at, people will travel as far as they need to experience it.’

We’ll start the ball rolling by being one of the first to say: Indigo is a place you simply have to eat at…
