US Series Gets Bollywood Touch

He’s one of India’s best-loved actors who shot to fame internationally after starring in Danny Boyle’s Slumdog Millionaire, and now Anil Kapoor’s next challenge is set to take his status even higher.
Anil, 53, whose been involved in Indian Cinema for three decades has decided to remake the American serial 24, casting himself in the lead role, agent Jack Bauer, played by Kiefer Sutherland.
24 will be known as one of the most expensive TV shows to be made in India and is currently being shot in Mumbai through Anil Kapoor Film Company.
Director Abhinay Deo is confident the show will be a hit saying: ‘We are giving Indians a star that they love and a subject matter which is close to them. Where can this go wrong?’

24 will be on shown in August 2013 on Colors.
