New Face For ITV

ITV's new flagship breakfast television show Daybreak is re-launching with a new presenter - former regional newsreader Ranvir Singh.

The show originally launched in 2010 fronted by Christina Bleakley and Adrian Chiles but failed to attract audience figures, leading producers to re-think their strategy.

Lorraine Kelly and Aled Jones will be the lead presenters of the show which is broadcast weekday mornings, while Ranbir and her co-host Matt Barbet (a former presenter on Channel 5 news) will present the first hour together from 6am-7am.

Excited about the new opportunity, Ranbir said: 'I can't wait, we'll be buzzing with all the morning news and having a laugh along the way.'

Ranvir has presented BBC North West Tonight since 2005 and is currently on maternity leave. She begins her role later this year.
