New coach for Bangladesh cricket team

Richard Pybus has been named the new Head Coach of the Bangladesh Cricket team and will be seeing the Tigers through the next two years of international tournaments. The 47 year-old English born coach who grew up in Australia has been coaching for 20 years ever since his own injury prevented him for becoming a professional cricketer.

It's not the first time he's coached an Asian team, having trained the Pakistan team for two spells during 1999-2001 and 2003.

Since then he's mainly coached regional teams such as Middlesex and this sees his return to the international sporting world. Already planning his tactics, he said: 'We have an active schedule ahead of us and for me, the next few months will be about building relationships with the players.'

Pybus joins the team next month ahead of the Tri-Nation T20 championships in Zimbabwe.
