Bollywood Award Winners Announced

Two films dominated last night's 13th IIFA Awards in Singapore – the biggest event in the Bollywood calender. Imtiaz Ali’s Rockstar and Zoya Akhtar's Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara were awarded four trophies each. Zindagi taking the much coveted Best Film, as well as Best Director, Best Music (score by A R Rahman) and Best Supporting Actor for Farhan Akhtar.

Ranbir Kapoor beat off stiff competition from the A’List, including Amitabh Bachchan, Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan and Hrithik Roshan to win Best Actor for the second year running. As expected Vidya Balan also won again for Best Actress, this time for her role of Silk Smita in The Dirty Picture.

The show, presented by Shahid Kapoor and Farhan Akhtar, included live performances by father and son Rishi and Ranbir Kapoor and Bipasha Basu. Priyanka Chopra danced to a medley of classic songs by Rekha, who was awarded the Outstanding Achievement in Indian Cinema Award, a title also presented to director Ramesh Sippy.

    * Best Director - Zoya Akhtar (Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara)
    * Best Story - Zoya Akhtar and Reema Katgi (Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara)
    * Hottest Bollywood Pair - Ranbir Kapoor and Nargis Fakhri (Rockstar)
    * Best Supporting Actor - Farhan Akhtar (Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara)
    * Best Supporting Actress - Parineeti Chopra (Ladies vs Ricky Bahl)
    * Best Performance in a Comic Role - Ritesh Deshmukh (Double Dhamaal)
    * Best Performance in a Negative Role - Prakash Raj (Singham)
    * Best Debut (Male) - Vidyut Jamwal (Force)
    * Best Debut (Female) - Parineeti Chopra for Ladies vs Ricky Bahl
    * Best Music - A R Rahman ( Rockstar)
    * Best Singer Male – Mohit Chauhan (Nadaan Parinde – Rockstar)
    * Best Singer Female - Shreya Ghosal (Teri Meri – Bodyguard)
    * Best Lyrics - Irshad Kamil (Nadaan Parindey – Rockstar)
    * IIFA Awards 2012 for Outstanding Achievement in Indian Cinema - Ramesh Sippy
    * IIFA Awards 2012 for Outstanding Achievement in Indian Cinema - Rekha
