Jay Sean shows his support for homeless dogs as part of a new campaign

Best known for his soulful voice and collaborations with some of the biggest names in the music business, singer Jay Sean has signed up to show his support for animal charity PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) by starring in a campaign to raise awareness of homeless cats and dogs.
Jay appears in the print adverts with his mutt Stella who was a rescue dog along with the slogan 'Adopt - Don’t Buy' to remind people that every time someone buys a cat or dog from a breeder or pet shop, a healthy and wonderful animal awaiting adoption in an animal shelter loses the chance to find a loving home.
The dedicated star also took time from his manic schedule promoting "I'm All Yours" – his new single with American rapper Pitbull, to sit down for an exclusive PETA UK interview that you can watch here. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pICZOqUuDFw.
Thousands of cats and dogs each year are killed due to the lack of homes available to them. Other animals are either victims of abuse from owners, are abandoned on the streets with nobody to provide food or get harmed on the road. In support of the campaign, Jay said: ‘Up until I had a dog, I didn't realise the connection I have with animals. Just because they're animals, you can't treat them any less than you would a human being.’
He added, ‘Parents might not know that they can go to a shelter to adopt one rather than going to a store to buy a pet. When you go to a shelter you can also be assured they have had their vaccinations and have been neutered; they go through all those checks before you can take them home.’
