With the weather warming up now is the perfect time to get outdoors and say no to exercising within the proximity of four walls. Ditch the cross trainer for some cross country running, swap your spinning classes for a bike ride or take a hike through the many beautiful forests and parks that the UK has to offer. We all know about the importance of regular exercise leading to a healthier lifestyle but just by getting outdoors into the fresh air magnifies this benefit to our health enormously.

Getting fit and staying that way is easier than it sounds but it's fair to say that motivation plays a huge role. For those of us that don't have a personal trainer to keep us on track there are still thankfully ways to stay motivated and one of them is by joining Champney's new social media campaign #inspireTHEnation. Champneys' fitness experts will be posting motivational tips @champneys each day that are easy to incorporate into your everyday routine. Tips will include everything from adding 20 squats into your morning run for a short burst of intense cardio to quick and easy lunchtime dietary swaps to increase your energy levels and motivation. By following the #inspireTHEnation project not only will you be getting into shape but you will also have the opportunity to win some amazing prizes that will be sure to motivate you even further, from a luxurious weekend stay at one of the four resorts to a selection of products from the Champneys pampering range.

Or for an really inspiring taste of exercising in the great outdoors sign up for one of Champneys luxury bootcamps. These residential courses based at their spas (from two days to a week) are organised throughout the year and will allow you experience a range of exercises, both indoors and out, get advice on nutrition and a chance to get pampered.
