Catwalk highlights from the 2011 Asiana Bridal Show

RED ALERT
It was Red Alert on the runway as the show opened with an all scarlet collection from Roshans. Accented with crystalised silver details, ballgown style dresses were seen alongside long shararahs and ghararah proving bold and bright works for both traditional and modern looks.
EMERALD PRINCE
Ziggi Studio’s introduced the finest men’s range of his collection so far with opulent sherwanis characterised by embroidered detailing, in an array of rich and vibrant colours.
SEDUCTIVE SHIMMER
Seductive and sultry, Kyle’s Collection captivated the crowds with a stunning shimmering one-shoulder sash style neckpiece. Their second collection showed off a majestic yet modern take on traditional colour schemes with key pieces fusing gold, green and red with pearly necklaces for the grooms.
TWINKLED TOUCH
A carousal of colour Khushboos by Chand showed off their talents for combining exquisite palettes from dark berry to magnolia with outstanding embroidered crystal detailing.
ENCHANTED ELEGANCE
Sonas Couture captured a classic fairytale look with flattering cuts from one shoulder pieces to use of delicate layering and nipped in waists with extravagant long cream and gold sherwanis for a resplendent groom.
SWAN PRINCESS
Merging pretty pastels with on trend ballerina beauty, Kiran Khan presented a feminine combination of dreamy dresses and Pakistani influenced bridalwear. Shades of dusky pink, peach, mint and lilac created a classic fairytale look.
BEJEWELLED BRIDE
Lighting up the catwalk with her combination of colour and embroidery and vibrant graphic shapes, Ekta Solanki’s desirable collection of long floaty gowns and lenghas, dazzling the stage.
CLASSICAL BEAUTY
Showcasing her signature love for feminine classics, the Mongas collection represented all aspects of bridal fashion. Ravishing reds complimented with soft creamy gold layers and deeper shades of maroon and scarlet proved the shade is as timeless as ever.
PERFECT PARTY
Truphae’s creative collection of eveningwear for the whole bridal party consisted of exquisite pre-wedding outfits for the bride and her family. Introducing rustic combinations of mustard, green and red; the show-stopper was a magnificent peacock inspired lengha, complete with a sculptured feather body wreath.
MY FAIR LADY
For the perfect white wedding, RDC showcased a mesmerising selection of wispy layered ballroom style white dresses ideal for classic registry’s with a range of white sherwani’s to match. For their formal collection they presented an opulent range of mugal inspired garments.
FUSION LUXE
Bringing the show to a dramatic climax, Gul’s Style showcased two unique collections capturing his flair for fusion fashion and bespoke, luxury bridalwear. Placement was of utter importance with shimmery, shiny tops contrasted with floaty skirts. His second range echoed the regality of traditional mughal attire with rich embroidery against a rich colour palette.
