You seem to be on the go all the time! Are you getting any time for yourself? I’ve just been busy making my movies and enjoying them. Yes obviously you make time for yourself, its not just going to present itself to you, you have to work out there, do some good time management but if you work hard then you can make time for yourself.

In Dum Maro Dum you are playing a police officer… Every character presents himself with a new challenge, and Dum Maro Dum was no different. I found my character to be a verylayered, which was very exciting to me. You get a lot of emotional baggage and my character still manages to keep a smile on his face despite having all these heart-tricks in his life so it was those aspects about him, which was very interesting.

The film touches upon issues about sex, scandal and drugs. Bit risqué, no? We haven’t made this film with that intention, the film is made to be vocally entertaining, we’re not trying to pass any social comments or give out any message. I just hope it manages to entertain people.

You didn’t have a heroin alongside you. Did that feel strange? It was ok actually, I found the character so interesting, and it really was fine that there was nobody opposite me.

Have you ever been caught red handed? No never! I’m good at covering things up I guess!

Growing up, did you want to become a police officer? Obviously, as a child, you want to be everything but seeing my dad playing the essential police officer, you want to grow up and be a police officer.

Shooting in Goa must have been an experience…It was great fun! I got to see a side of Goa, which I’ve never seen before, I’ve always seen the tourist angle of Goa, but I got to see a certain side which was so nice, and I really enjoyed shooting there.

And your singing talent has been featured in the film…Well lets hope it comes to use, its fun I enjoy singing, I enjoy rapping, yet again Rohan Sippy managed to twist my arm to get into the studio and sing for him. It was interesting, hope people liked it, and the response so far has been huge! I’m very excited about the way the song has turned out.

Which has been your best performance in your career so far? I don’t like any of them. My fathers favourite is Guru.

What do you love wearing? It could be jeans and a shirt, or tracksuits, even Kurta Pyjama.

What’s next? I’m shooting a film right now called Players and that will be released at the end of the year. It’s an action film; it’s actually the official remake of the English film ‘The Italian Job’.Andhopefully at the end of the year I will start a new film with Aishwarya.
