Hair Tutorial: Soft Waves

Get gorgeous glamorous waves, perfect when attending a wedding

Posted: 22.04.15

This year seems to be more popular than ever for weddings, so I have put together a Wedding Guest series with make-up looks for the day and evening and now for the hair. I love big glamorous hair for weddings but it needs to be easy to do and last the duration of the wedding. Lee Stafford has some gorgeous products to help achieve this look and keeps your hair looking glamorous right until the next morning (true story!)

Soft waves are perfect for any occasion, especially a wedding as they make you look glamorous without showing up the bride! The trick to getting lots of volume is preparation, start out by washing your hair with products that will give you volume such as the Lee Stafford My Big Fat Healthy Hair Shampoo and Conditioner to add body without weighing it down, plus it smells good too. Then, spritz the entire hair with Flat Iron Protection Shine Mist to protect from heat styling and section off the hair. I like to section it into 5 sections, the fringe or front section and then two parts on the right and left sides. Starting from the nape of the neck use My Wonderball Waver to create a soft tousled look, wrapping the hair around the wand and holding for 8-10 seconds. As you unwrap the hair hold it in your hand to keep its shape while it cools for a few seconds as this ensure your curls will last longer - don’t run your fingers through your hair just yet! Once the entire hair is curled, spray Beach Babe Sea Salt Spray to add texture this really holds your waves in place, I swear by it! Finally set your glamorous soft waves with Fat ‘n’ Flexible Hold Hairspray

Stay tuned for more wedding guest make-up looks and hair tutorials…x
