Back to Life

Inject life back into post-holiday hair with the new Back to Perfect Package (from £62, danielgalvin.com). The treatment starts with a pure vitamin C solution being massaged into the locks to dissolve impurities. Next, the smart Collexia hairdryer, which releases a vitamin and silk protein enriched conditioning treatment, is used to dry the hair. The conditioning solution is distributed via the nozzle, which coats the hair in a thin layer of gloss and leaves it looking sleek and lustrous.

Beat Thinning

Middle-aged men aren’t the only ones who have to face hair thinning. More than a third of 25 to 35-year-old females suffer from premature hair loss or thinning. If your GP isn't able to help, book a consultation with a trichologist who can determine the medical or cosmetic reasons relating to your loss. To find one near you, see www.trichologists.org.uk

Unstressed tresses

Joico K-Pak Intense Hydrator (£13.95, joicoeurope.com) is the perfect fix for dry, chemically-treated and stressed hair.  The decadently rich and creamy conditioner quickly restores moisture, strengths the hair, controls frizz and leaves summer-frazzled locks feeling soft and shiny again. If you buy this limited edition tube -  £1 will be donated to the breast cancer charity - The Pink Ribbon foundation.

Bright locks

Brighten up your locks with Brocato Shimmer Sprays (£12.95, 08705 561 929). The lightweight sprays come infused with pearlescent, gold or platinum flecks, to provide delicate shine and sparkle.

5-MINUTE MASTERCLASS with ASGAR SABOO

Asgar Saboo, Style Director at Daniel Galvin, shares his tips on how to repair dry, summer-stressed hair…

• Massaging the hair with a good oil will nourish brittle locks and repair existing damage. Moroccan oil is my personal favourite, but olive oil is a great home alternative.
• Limit your use of heated styling tools, such as straightening irons and tongs, which can dry out the hair further. If you do need to use them, apply a leave-in conditioner before you begin, to lock in moisture.
• Invest in a hair mask. Masks not only help keep the hair healthy and glossy, but will also combat frizzing.
• Avoid using styling products containing alcohol, which can dry.

A clean hairbrush leads to easier styling. The Philip B Hairbrush Cleaner (£11, spacenk.com) gently clears away hair, dust and product build-up from bristles ensuring the brush lasts longer and remains fresh.
Tip: For deep conditioning hair masks using only natural products like egg protein and virgin olive, nothing beats Vatika (dabur.co.uk)
