It’s time to reveal your toes!
By fashion_admin | Posted Mon 20 June 2011
Confession time. I haven’t trimmed my toe nails for three months (well to be fair they’ve been hidden in a multitude of rainbow coloured tights for the last six months.) I’ve been layering up nail polish in the hope no one would notice.
The trouble was although my toes were not in too bad a shape, they were feeling sad. When I wiped off the nail varnish last week I noticed that my toes were frowning back at me so I decided it was time to book myself a pedicure. Not any old pedicure: the most lavish one I could find; which led me to the Elemis Day Spa.
Hidden away at the end of a cobbled alleyway off Bond Street is the three floored beauty haven. A calming oasis in a busy city, the spa offers a plethora of treatments for girls in need of a pick me up, to a dual room for couples to enjoy some ‘we time’ pampering. But I wasn’t there for the lazing. My feet were in need of a treat, and fast!

I booked their Sole Delight Foot Treatment. As I lay back on a massage table my feet were placed in a bowl and soaked in a Skin Nourishing Milk Bath to soften hard soles, followed by a gentle exfoliation of my feet with a yummy smelling Exotic Lime and Ginger Salt Glow. Warmed aromatherapy oils where then drizzled over my legs and feet which was so divine it made me nod off. They were then wrapped in a hot rose compress for some much needed nourishing and conditioning while my therapist treated me to an Indian scalp massage.
The pedicure itself was a bit painful (note to self…do not leave it so long next time) but afterwards they were shaped, beautified, creamed and made even prettier with a coat of pretty pink polish. Next stop the shops, well I have the perfect peers, I just need some new sandals to show them off in!
